if My People

Jack Countryman wrote a little guide on 40 – days to pray for our country. I hope that you will follow along with me as we pray for America using this precious little book if My People….

Each day I will post the prayer that Jack Countryman has written, and maybe add a little as we go to suit the situations we are facing in America today. In my generation, I cannot remember another time when we have turned against each other to the extent that we have now. I remember respect for our President even in times of disagreement. I remember watching Walter Cronkite reporting news, real news, without a political agenda attached to every story. I remember respect for our police; even in the midst of the bra – burning 60’s. Please, pray with me that we can get back to loving God and loving each other as God has commanded. The only commandment. And that will right every wrong.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Father, we seek Your sovereign blessing on our nation. Forgive us for our shortcomings and the times when we have failed You. Draw us back to Your love and strengthen us as a nation to serve and honor You in all that we do. May we forever be faithful to the calling that You have given us. We respectfully and humbly give thanks for Your continued blessing. Amen

God bless America. And God bless you.

I hope that you will find exactly what you need each time you read. Be blessed. Sheila
