Only four more days of prayer. I hope that these have inspired you in ways to pray not only for your pastor, but all clergy and workers in your church. These people are called by God to serve us and sometimes their arms get heavy, and just as Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms to fight the battle, we are called to lift up our church leaders. The battle is real. We know that any time we are doing what God wants us to do, Satan gets angry and looks for gaps to stop us. This is not an end – all prayer list, it is only the beginning. Please, keep praying for those in church leadership.
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
Lord, I know how Satan works overtime to break your leaders. I ask, Father, that today, my pastor would be encouraged that his work on behalf of our congregation is not in vain. Lives have been changed; relationships mended; sadness comforted, all because he follows You and gives us your message.
I pray, Lord, for my pastor to feel the joy in the work that You have called him do do, and that he would thrive on serving You. I also ask, Father, that he would continue to produce the fruit that will remain for your glory. And, Lord, if You could pull back the shades and let him see that fruit every now and then, just to encourage him, then I would be forever grateful.
In Jesus’ Name,
