Satan will do all that he can to prevent getting God’s Word out to this lost world.
I wrote a book about my salvation journey, “From Self – esteem to God – esteem” and in the front of that book I wrote the Roman road to accepting Jesus as Savior. When I wrote the book, I really did not think about who would read it; man or woman. My only thought was to put the words that God was giving me onto paper. Words that would lead others to a relationship with God. The veil was torn when Jesus hung on the cross and my desire is that all come to know Christ and to walk closer to Him.
There are so many Christians called to write what God has given them. Max Lucado, John MacArthur, and Franklin Graham. And then there are Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, and Anne Graham Lotz. I have read these, and many more, books and articles written by Spirit – led Christians that have taken me one more step toward a closer relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Each of these have words for both man and woman. Why are we condemning the women who are writing and speaking God’s Word?
We have segregated Scripture into doctrine to fit our ego. I believe that the Scripture is written for all mankind and that each word was written as ad means of professing Christ in a decent and orderly manner. It was not written to demean women for knowing and sharing what God lays on our hearts to profess.
I am doing a Bible study by Anne Graham Lotz called “Jesus in Me” that is open to both man and woman. Each is part of a circle shared via video and all, both male and female, share insights from what they get out of each week’s study. A book written by a woman of God.
I read the best – seller “Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyer and the godly insight from this study is absolutely needed for Christian growth by both man and woman.
Another Holy Spirit gifted teacher is Kay Arthur, “Lord, is it Warfare? Teach me to Stand” helps all to see what Satan has planned and how God can equip us to fight.
Why are we wasting our time on fighting with each other over who speaks the truth of God’s Word? Why are we allowing Satan to pit us against each other instead of supporting the words that the Holy Spirit wants His people to write?
I could sit here and defend women of the Bible who spoke God’s Word, but it would take all night to go through each example of women who followed God’s lead in teaching either through action or speech.
Yes, I agree in godly submission. Read my book “Submission is NOT a Four – letter Word” and you will see that I firmly believe in God as the head of man, man as the head of woman. Everything that I have done in speaking God’s Word came through support of my husband as the head of our home. And if/when I did step out on my own, I was quickly reminded that I needed to get back in the submissive line. No, I’m not perfect and I have failed in this many times, but I know that true submission is freeing, not constraining. God frees, man constrains.
As Christians, we are teaching at all times; some are more formal than others, but it is still teaching. Christian men and women, let us go to God’s Word and allow Him to break the chains that Satan has put on professing God’s Word. Let all, male and female, speak nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
