If my people…Day 19

“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” Psalm 4:1

Freedom is never free. The prelude to this prayer study calls every Christian to pray. To seek God for our country. And to allow the Holy Spirit to guide our every prayer.

“Throughout the history of our country, men and women have been called to make a great sacrifice and give their time and sometimes their very lives that we might enjoy freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. With every challenge we have faced, we have risen to defend the nation we love and cherish.

Today, we find ourselves facing many of the same challenges of our forefathers. We have been at war with those who wish to destroy our land and jeopardize our religious freedom for many years. We find ourselves at the crossroads of determining the direction of our country’s future and the role of Christianity in our nation. The devoted prayers of all Americans will impact the future direction of our beloved country.”

God’s people, you will draw closer to our heavenly Father as you commit yourself to pray for our country.

Father, You are so wonderful! Through Jesus Christ we have an open invitation to come to You in prayer. We give thanks for this blessing and each day find joy in all that You give to us. What a blessed people we are to know and embrace Your unconditional love. In Jesus Name, Amen
