If my people…Day 13

“Evening and morning and at noon, I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” Psalm 55:17

I have been praying for our President and Vice President elect and the cabinet that will take their place in January as leaders of our great country, the United States of America. It really doesn’t matter if the elected officials are my personal choice or not, God’s Word says to pray for our leaders, and I will. God’s Word says to support our leaders, and I will. God’s Word says to obey the laws of the land, and I will. Because ultimately, God knows all and He has a plan. I am not so big that I could know God’s plan so I pray and I walk with the Holy Spirit as my guide on how to pray.

I have also been praying for Donald Trump and Mike Pence as they transition. The decisions they make in these final days in office can be a huge impact on our country. The impact they can make after the transition can also be huge. I pray they don’t give up once the transition out of office is complete, but that they continue to support the people of the United States of America in whatever capacity God calls them to.

In the years to come, may we keep our focus on God and righteous living. On loving our fellow man with no stipulations. And on praying for God’s complete Will to be done in America.

Father, We exalt our praise and adoration to You all throughout the day and night! May we never forget that You are merciful and gracious, and that You, our Creator, receive our devotion and prayers with an attentive, listening ear. Give us eyes to see the splendor of Your holiness and ears to hear the majesty of Your voice as You lead us to holy and righteous living. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
