“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of Your Spirit who continually helps us overcome our weaknesses. We confess that all things are possible through You and nothing is possible without You! Open our hearts and intercede with the Father that we may humble ourselves in Your presence. We thank You for Your forgiveness. Strengthen us to live with purpose and empower us to serve You. Amen
As a nation pulling together, we are strong. As a nation going our separate ways, we are weak. What is our common goal? There are so many facets to that question. Hurt feelings that need healing. I guess that is the most prevalent goal for the American people right now. Erasing anything in our present that could possibly hint of past hurt and injustice.

Each of us has been hurt in one way or another. The historical atrocity of slavery and the mistreatment of the entire Black race is a tool that Satan has used against God’s people since time began. And he is still using it. We are so focused on the past, that we are having trouble seeing God’s plan for the future. People are people. The only dividing line should be, do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior. And the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul and to love your neighbor (all people) as yourself. This means representing Christ to all people so that they will hunger for a relationship with God. Satan smiles when we are so busy fighting for our rights, that it becomes wrong.
My personal prayer is that our government is being chosen on more than the color of our skin and sexual orientation. I pray that our President Elect is on his knees asking God who He wants in each position and not running statistics to put an equal blend of race, ancestry, sexual orientation (when did this become a qualification to run a country???), and gender. God, we need You.
God is doing a great thing, but we have to keep our eyes forward in order to see it. Put all injustice and pain in His capable hands and see what He can do.
