“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
The resurrected Savior stood on the mountain in Galilee and told His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. Go. From Galilee. To the world. To the United States of America.
In 2010 the United States sent approximately 127, 000 missionaries to countries abroad. In that same year, the United States received approximately 34,000 Catholic, Protestant, and Pentecostal missionaries who spread the gospel to America. I greatly appreciate every missionary who answers the call to follow Christ. Especially on my home turf.
I pray for each of the cities that are under attack by the few who are listening to Satan’s call for “rights” in our protest – ridden American cities. I pray that they will turn their ears to the Holy Spirit and that they would become immune to the voice that seeks to destroy America – Satan. As long as we are focused on self, we cannot focus on Christ.
Lord, You have commanded us to make disciples of all nations – may we begin within our own hearts! You are the way, the truth, and the life, and we thank You for Your promise to be with us always. Give us sincerity of heart and unfailing courage to spread this good news, whether with our neighbors across the street or with lost souls across the earth. We trust in You to work through us – without You we can do nothing! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
