if My People Pray… Day 4

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.” Deuteronomy 28:1-3

Know His commandments – read, study, ingest God’s Word.

Observe His commandments – When we come to his commandments, know them, ask for the Holy Spirit to show us how to apply them to our lives.

Obey His voice – listen for that still, small voice as He tells us which way to go.

And God will bless us as Americans. And that will bless our country.

Father, Humble our hearts today so that we will hear Your voice. Help us as a nation, the great United States of America, to obey Your voice in all that we say and do. Continue to bless us, O Lord, and give us a compassionate and giving heart toward those around us. Hold us to a higher calling that we will carefully observe Your commandments and be a nation under God with liberty and justice for all. And God, have Your way in our elections this year. Restore the pride in being Americans through Christ following government leaders. Help us to see past our own selfish agendas to see and follow Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

I hope that you will find exactly what you need each time you read. Be blessed. Sheila
