“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
2 Corinthians 13:14
Father God, You are the ultimate leader. You are mighty to save and mighty to direct in your ways. You have chosen a leader for America and today is the day that Donald J. Trump becomes our 45th President of the United States.
As I sit her and listen to the newscasters, I am saddened that America has come to the point where we have stopped trusting in You and started leaning on our own understanding for our emotions and our talk. I hear all of the negatives that Donald Trump has said over the past 3o years instead of using words of support for our leader. Lord, please, pull us together as we move through this presidency. Use President Trump and his staff to pull us together as one unit. Change the personality of our selfish country and show us how to put our trust in You and your chosen leader.
Speak to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they enter the Evangelical church to pray before his inauguration. Give him the words to say to the American people to cause us to want to be unified under God.
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Lord, the words “one nation under God” were added by President Eisenhower due to the threat of Communism…fear of not being able to call on God for our strength permeated the country. Father God, we still stand together as a country formed by God, for God, and under God. Lord, Satan is angry right now that he is going to lose the support of this country, but we are yours and always have been. In the precious Name of Jesus, Satan has no hold on God’s people on this very special day and his hold will end…today.
As our President and Vice – President meet to pray before the ceremony, I pray, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
