Thirty Days of Prayer for @realDonaldTrump – Day 2: His Cabinet

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
    but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”

Proverbs 13:20

Father God, today I would like to pray for the decisions that President – Elect Donald J. Trump has to make over the next couple of months. Specifically, Lord, I would like to pray for those he will appoint to positions that affect this country and the American people in their quality of life, their jobs, their safety, and their confidence in raising their children in a country that respects You, God, as their true Leader.

I pray for those who he would put in as the Supreme Court Justices, that they would be wise and in – tune with the laws that govern this great nation. That they would hold to the premise that all lives matter including the unborn. Return us to Your design for marriage as one man and one woman so that the family strength is preserved. And Father, we need You in our country, in our government, and in our schools. Help us, Lord, to return this nation to You so that we can grow and flourish as the America we were. You promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Lord, heal our land.

Our country is diverse, Lord Jesus, and we respect each citizen of America. I ask You to surround President – Elect Trump with cabinet that appreciates the struggles that we face and strives to help us build a strong economy with stable means of supporting our families. Help them to see the need to hear the voices of the working class as well as those with greater means. Please, God, help him to choose for the people and not for pride:

Bless each choice for the Secretary of: Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury and Veterans Affairs. Their roles are to advise President – Elect Trump on any subject within their respective offices. Help him to choose with wisdom, Lord.

Of course, above all, is my prayer for Donald J. Trump’s salvation. Father God, no one can win without You, and we want him to be a winner in leading our country.
