Thirty Days of Prayer for My Pastor – Day 29

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Colossians 3:23 – 24 

Father God, today I pray that my pastor will seek to please You more than people. Help him to recognize that we may not always appreciate him and the things that he stands for. And, Lord, help us to trust that, even if we don’t agree with what is being said, we will always go to You for confirmation rather than speak against our man of God. You placed him over our congregation to lead us in the way of eternal life and relationship with You and it is not up to us to judge, but to follow. What a mighty responsibility our pastor has!

I pray, Lord, that with this responsibility, that my pastor would take joy in pleasing You as he ministers to us. In Jesus’ Name,
