Thirty Days of Prayer for My Pastor – Day 28

spiritual-warfare

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Lord Jesus, You left your Holy Spirit with us to not only comfort us, but also to speak for us. Today, Lord, I pray for my pastor to be open to whatever the Spirit leads him to say. Help him to recognize when the Spirit is leading him to go deeper into teaching us about spiritual warfare and how to use the weapons at our disposal, through the power of Jesus Christ. I know that my pastor is a sold out prayer warrior who recognizes that our fight is not against flesh and blood, but it is a fight that must be done on our knees.

I pray, Father God, that my pastor’s mind would be protected and that his thoughts would be in keeping with the obedience of Christ, that he would have no fear in speaking the truth to us knowing that God is already preparing us to hear it.

Lord, we need the truth in America today more than ever. We have gone our own selfish ways and we are really in a mess. Deliver us, Lord, and use our pastor to bring us to the right fellowship with God that we need. Speak to us, through him. I ask in Jesus’ Holy Name,

Amen
