Thirty Days of Prayer for My Pastor – Day 19

Wise Father
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”  Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Lord, we need You now. We need for our children to hear Your Word, to see their parents living Your Word, and be expected to obey Your Word. I pray that my pastor would lead us as a godly example as he leads his own family and teaches them to love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and spirit.

I pray, Father God, that his wife and children would support him in understanding as he follows Your Word in love, discipline, and decisions. I ask that each of our clergy, married or single, would remember that there is a child watching every move they make and to never do anything that would cause that child to stray. Keep their examples, their testimonies, clean and glorifying to You.

Bless our clergy with hearts of purity and minds set on You. In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

I am a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend. My birth verse is Galatians 5:25 "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit" and it truly represents how I want to be known. My blog is my personal insight into living as a godly submissive wife, a mother with "eyes in the back of her head" and Mamaw's Baby Grands can do no wrong. I hope that you will find exactly what you need each time you read. Be blessed. Sheila
