Thirty Days of Prayer for My Pastor – Day 3

“And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”                Jeremiah 3:15

Lord, I lift my pastor up to You as the shepherd of our church family. I ask that the Holy Spirit may be the Comforter that others see as he makes his way through the hospitals and funeral homes. I pray that he would always share the Holy Spirit’s comfort and wisdom as he counsels with those who need to hear wisdom and truth. I pray that he continue to show the love of Christ in all of his daily acts of ministry; so many things that we may never know of, but You do. Build him up when he feels weak and guide him in situations where only You can see the road ahead. Put words of comfort in his mouth, and compassion in his actions.

I ask, Lord, that, as pastor to his staff, he may model the strength, wisdom, fortitude and compassion of the Good Shepherd. Lead our pastor, as he leads us.
