Thirty Days of Prayer for My Pastor – Day 2

“Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”  1 Kings 3:9

Father God, give my pastor a discerning spirit in leading his staff. Give him the direction that You want our church to go in and help him to have the sensitivity to details that only your Holy Spirit can offer.

I pray, Lord, that he is there for his staff when they need his guidance. I pray that he will listen with a vision of where You want our church to go and that he will answer with wisdom that is given by God. I pray that as he works with his staff that they will have a shared vision of how to bring the people to a full acceptance of the Holy Spirit as their guide in music, outreach, Sunday school, Women’ ministry, Youth ministry, Young Adult ministry and prayer. I pray especially that our pastor would be a strong example for our men as they lead godly homes and strengthen the family of God.

I ask, Father God, that our pastor would look to You for his wisdom in building and supporting a strong ministry team.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

I am a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend. My birth verse is Galatians 5:25 "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit" and it truly represents how I want to be known. My blog is my personal insight into living as a godly submissive wife, a mother with "eyes in the back of her head" and Mamaw's Baby Grands can do no wrong. I hope that you will find exactly what you need each time you read. Be blessed. Sheila
