Thirty Days of Prayer for My Husband – Day 23: His Desires

passion

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Psalm 37:4

Father God, my husband is a man of great passion for life. He loves me with a boundary-less love and tends to my every need. His desires for his children to walk in Your ways is a passion that is evident in his words and his ways. His grandchildren are the sparkle in his eyes as he speaks of them. He is passionate about You, Lord, and living every moment in Your will.

I bring my hubby to You today, Lord, to bless him with a vision for the things he loves in a way that You are glorified. Help him to see how his passions are a gift from You to be used to bless him and to bless others. You, Father, have created these desires in him, and You are the light I see in his eyes as he lives a life pleasing to You.

Show me, Lord, how to show my husband how much I appreciate his life and how to let him know that the things that he loves matter to me as well. His woodworking is a gift that he shares with others. Let me never forget to praise him for the works of his hands.

His old cars, Lord, teach me to appreciate this passion as we cruise to church on Sunday morning in the ’66 Buick. My husband is Your gift to me, show me how to be the gift that You gave to him.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

I am a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend. My birth verse is Galatians 5:25 "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit" and it truly represents how I want to be known. My blog is my personal insight into living as a godly submissive wife, a mother with "eyes in the back of her head" and Mamaw's Baby Grands can do no wrong. I hope that you will find exactly what you need each time you read. Be blessed. Sheila
