Thirty Days of Prayer for My Husband – Day 22: Money Management

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”money-management

Matthew 6:21

Father God, I pray that You would give both my hubby and me wisdom for how to handle our financial responsibilities. I pray that my husband would be thoughtful as we work together to create a budget, pay off bills, and spend for needs. I pray that we would be aligned on tithing and stewarding our money for Your Kingdom.

I pray, Lord, that You would help us to see eye-to-eye on the important things and to always have an open communication about money. We are created different, Lord, by Your design, so we think differently where money is concerned. This difference can be a wonderful strength or a destructive weakness. Help us to see each other’s viewpoint and to discuss any differences we may have.

Father God, You told us to test and see that if we support Your Kingdom, that You would open up the storehouses of heaven with blessings for us and would never let us have a need. Show my husband where You are working and want to bless us by giving.

Lord, deliver us from the temptation of spending money that we don’t have, living a lifestyle that we have to pay for later, and teach us to live one day at a time and within our means. Teach us to enjoy the world around us and to not look to artificial means for entertainment.

And finally, Father, give us Your wisdom, give us the path to follow, and give us contentment that only a life fully lived in You can give.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
