Thirty Days of Prayer for My Husband – Day 10: His Weaknesses

“…”My grace us sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”   2 Corinthians 12:9a

Father God, to me, my husband is SuperMan. But I also realize that he is human. Help him to realize this as well. Give him clarity to see where he needs to rely more on you, Lord, and less on himself. Help him to not be ashamed of his weaknesses, but to see them as opportunities to grow ever closer to You.

Father, when he feels that he has to be strong for his family, help him to be the example that his strength ultimately comes from You. Remind him that he doesn’t need to carry the world on his shoulders because You made the world and You are carrying that burden for him. Guide him, Lord in how to care for himself. Remind him that rest is so important to You that You took a whole day for rest after creating the world and all that is in it.

And, Lord, as his wife, help me to care for him in a way that builds him up and respects his strength as the man of this family.

Amen
