Thirty Days of Prayer for My Husband – Day 4: His Friendships

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” Proverbs 13:20

Lord, my husband doesn’t make friends easily. Usually they are just acquaintances that come and go without a good root for friendship. I know that he doesn’t trust too many people and that it is hard for him to open up and reach out to others to build that man – to – man friendship that all men need. He needs someone he can confide in on a personal level. Someone who is a Christian and who is always going to point him back to You for confirmation of any advice he receives. Someone who loves God and wants to encourage my hubby to live according to the life that God has given him.

Lord, I pray for his witness to those he is friends with, especially those whose walk may not be as close to You as they should be. That he will be a witness to them of your love, your care, and your Holy Spirit. I pray that if they are not Christians, that through his witness they might want that joy of the Lord that they see in him every day – regardless of what his day holds. I pray for those who are Christians, that they will always be encouraged even more by sharing the faith.

Our friends tell a lot about us, Lord, and I pray that the friends that my husband chooses would speak loud and clear that he is a man of God.

Amen
