Dancing with Joy

Image“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give You thanks forever.”     Psalm 30:11-12

I praise God for His eternal understanding that I am human. I have moments of weakness where I want to try to give in to the sadness and confusion of this world and He always accepts me back with open arms when I run back to Him.

I praise God for the trials that He allows me to go through. I praise Him for the lessons that He teaches me through each one and the ability to reach out to others who may be going through the same.

I praise God for my home, my husband and my children. I praise Him for each day with them and the joys and sadness that may come in those days.

And I praise God for His strength without which I would not be able to honestly praise Him. I pray for wisdom above all, and discernment to know good from evil and He has blessed me with this; not only me, but my family as well. When my earthly mind wants to analyze and give in, my spiritual mind takes over and lets me know the path to take.

I don’t know what this year will bring, but I know that whatever it brings, I will use the guidance of the Holy Spirit to face each day. I will allow God to give me the answers to questions that I ask and I will know that He is in control.

How will I know? Because I will continue to dance on the waters of praise.
