The Truth is, the Truth is

“Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth!” Psalm 86:11a

I am not a political person and I usually don’t re-post or even read posts that slam our leaders or speak out against the latest “look at me” activist communities. But enough is enough.

If we as Christians don’t start standing up for the values that our country was based on, the life-giving words of the Bible, then we are no better than Sodom and Gomorrah and we deserve to watch our country be destroyed. I am a Christian, I believe that marriage and the sanctity of the sexual relationship should be as God designed, between a married man and woman. I believe that life begins at the point of conception; nothing is added to or taken away to make that union a precious living child.

I believe that anything that you put ahead of your relationship with God is a sin; alcohol, drugs, chocolate, Facebook; Satan can use anything or anyone to put a distance between you and God and only you can guard against that. We were created for God, to be a friend and walk with Him and we have an obligation to read His Word with the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit to interpret it for us. We can’t pick and choose verses that fill our selfish needs. Preachers, let’s teach the truth! Let’s shout the truth from the pulpits! Christians, let’s shout it from our homes!

Oh, God, please help us to get back to You, bring America to its knees in submission, confession and acceptance. God bless America, again.
